Before I get into this complex little amp amp I wondered if anyone had seen the same problem? Sounds like about 1 watt out of the speaker, all circuits & controls functioning otherwise, seems stable, just lacks volume. Plug the guitar into the effects return and it's louder, so it seems to be a preamp problem.

OK guys, you can relax (oh, you were already relaxed). It was just the old effects jacks problem, with the sneaky little difference that it's not a 100% dropout with bad jacks on these amps - and that the connection was completely gone and not intermittent even with jacks thrust in and out.
