thanks for all the help guys.

i finally dug out my homebrew, which is clipped together with 379 jumpers... and clipped the OT trans from that to the DSL.

good news--found the problem!

Valvehead, if your ht voltage is 460 then set your bias mv to say 38mv this works out to 17.5 watt per valve or adjust them to 40mv instead of roasting them at 45mv ie 20w.

i usually set most amps to around 35ma per tube , give or take a few.....and depending on amp..
