I told my buddy the minimum to fix the amp wasn't cheap so he said toss it out... I figure he can find an old Peavey amp on craigslist cheap. Its a shame its hard to find the replacement parts but it does happen.

If he doesn't want to be hassled chasing craigslist flakes Guitar Center has half a dozen FM25R amps for $50 (sometimes less) and their ship-to-store is pretty reasonable (I think less than $25). Should be able to test it out right in the store to make sure it is in good working order.
