Chaps- got me a 5F1 built, my OT primaries & 2ndaries 3x checked/ hooked up according to the specs, but on 1st turn on: bad high squeal + rough as nuts sound (ie w'gtr so at least partial success).
Any ideas? thx SC

Try disconnect the feedback wire -
Whats the feedback wire? hunch is the wire along with the 4Ohm green wire @ the mono output socket TIP..Comment

The feedback wire takes signal from your OT secondary (speaker jack) back into the amp.Through a resistor and sometimes a capacitor.
Let us know how the frankenstrat is coming along sometime.Comment

Well I didnt do that 1st up, looked thru past MEF threads & plumped for the primaries' mfr specs being wrong- and this was it. Now up & running very well. So thx to MEF!
