I put the new slider in and all is fine now!
For those interested, the replacement Alpha slider is;

Only 4.10 here. They were about 10 or 11 when searching for Hartke ha3500 parts.
The new part seems smoother moving than the original.
I will be trying it out tonight! Only a set or two, I like my SWR amp better than Hartke. Who knows, maybe I will change my mind after gigging with one? Doubt it.
