Yet another consideration of the series speaker situation, you must have insulating washers between the ext speaker jack and chassis. Sometimes I've found these amps to be misbehaving because the insulating washers are missing or damaged, allowing the OT secondary to short to chassis.
This isn't the future I signed up for.

The jack in question is a Switchcraft Series 50 SF-JX Short Frame Jack, also known as a 1/4" Right Angle Open Frame Jack. The one that Fender used doesn't show up in the Switchcraft literature that I have. The only one they show that would work is Part No. 55, but a quick search turned up none. A 54A has a normally open switch and is available at a high price. I used to unscrew those things, bend the leaves, and put them back together to make a different kind of jack, but I don't know if you would want to chance it with an over-priced 54A.

This model (C55BZ) has even greater switching capacity than the original in the amp. I imagine that the insulating washer needed is not included.

probably the least misunderstood by musicians.?
I think most musicians have the technical chops to:

Me plug speaker cord in speaker cord hole. Me shred.

Thanks for all this help. I ended up getting a couple of these thanks to 52bill!!

I hope this jack helps. So far hooking the 'line in' jack from the 2.2k to either winding is not sounding so well. Less volume and distorted output. Weird with such a huge amp. But when I disconnect the 'line in' all together the amp sound like it sure, loud as hell and clean.
