  • Fender FM 65

Just picked up a Fender FM 65 with a really bad hum / noise. Appears to be DC on the output. Any suggestions on where to start looking?

    At the schematic.

Are both main rails present and up to voltage and clean? Are any of the output transistors or drivers shorted? Any burnt or open resistors? Are the low voltage rails present (+/-15v)

Enzo....you are the man. I found that one of the low voltage rails was out. Replaced the 330 ohm resistor and that did it. thanks

Glad that you got it running.

Although I must say that it does seem odd that a 330 ohm 5 watt resistor would go open without a cause.
