Sometimes you get sound through the speaker and sometimes not. Cycle the switch and it's hit and miss. Makes a loud popping or cracking noise when you turn it off.

How does it react when you ball up your fist and give it a good whack on the cabinet? Locate any effects loop jacks and try plugging a regular instrument cable from Send to Return. Could be loose connections inside the amp (whack top of amp) or we might have dirty switching contact in the jacks for effects loop. Start there to see if it gets you anywhere.
When the going gets weird... The weird turn pro!

Yeah, thanks for the reply, I didn't smack it as hard as your implying and it didn't give me sound. I've got the board cabinet out now checking what I can of voltage and connections and it's working now. It's not reliable it comes and goes.

Maybe a cracked cermet resistor in the power supply? I know one of my bandits had a failure like that.

Just wanted to reply to DrGonz78, you were right about plugging a cable into the " send - return effects ".I got sound now, I've got a bad switching jack. Thanks a bunch!

Spray some cleaner into the return jack, then push a plug in and out a few times. It will probably clean up.
