Peavey Deuce, sounding a bit dark?

I haven't played through it in ages, tonight I fired it up and its sounding quite dark, like the tone is turned way way down, which it isnt. I am going to leave it for a while to warm up but I never remember it sounding this dark. Any ideas? this is on both channels although mostly on the effects channel..
