    Gallien Krueger 800RB

    Good morning...6:30 AM....got a lot of work to do today...anyway does anybody have a board layout for the power amp section....I have the schematics and layouts of the other boards but not this one.....any help greatly appreciated.....

    Searching for the output transistors....MJ15022G/23G....can't find the numbers...found MJE's are these the same???? they look like it......

    GK 800RB Amplifier & P/S PCB Parts Placement Drwgs

    I've got a copy of the GK 800RB Amp PCB parts placement guide, same for the Power Supply PCB, followed by an assortment of ECO's issued during the production runs of the 800RB.

    I may be wrong, but I'd think an MJE15022/MJE15023's would be plastic package, and NOT Metal TO-3 cans, which is what you want. Never seen any MJE15022/MJE15023. MJE15032/MJE15033, for example, are TO-220 parts.

      MJE15030 and 031 are plastic.....MJE15022/23 are metal T03 packages....the schematic says MJE.....the two metal transistors says MJ......that is why I had asked......thanks for the info.....

        No such thing as a MJE15022 transistor as far as I know, at least not TO-3.
        All the schematics show the 030/031 as MJE and the 022/023 as MJ.
        If you have one that shows different, please post it.

            ALL MJ15xxx are TO3, and all MJE15xxx are TO220.

              I checked that out after and it looks like I mis-read the schematic notes......the output transistors are all metal and the drivers are the plastic with metal tabs......Sorry about the confusion.....
