Excelsior- Not Fender

Anyone know anything about old tube amps with the name Excelsior?

I'll post pix when I open it up, looks like late 50's 1x10 combo.

Found some similar, but most searches are showing the newer Fender pos.

That's about all the info I found.

This one has a Jensen 12", two Bromar 12AX7's, two 6AQ5's and an EZ81 rectifier.

Real cheap construction, solder connections just tacked b on with no wrapping or good physical connections.

Replaced all the crappy caps and it's working and sounding good.
Tremolo still there with them pot all the way down, someone cut the footswitch jack ring to ground connection to turn off the tremolo. Works fine with footswitch.

Amp is similar to old Univox, preamp like a U45B and output stage like a U155

At least one overheated resistor?

Of course the cathode resistor.
Supposed to be 250, reads 290.
Replaced it and cathode cap .
Used a 300ohm and it's biased just right.

Sounds great after replacing those oil caps.

Every one was way off in value let alone leaky.
