  • Carling rocker switch mystery

I have this neon illuminated rocker switch:

    https://www.digikey.com/product-deta...hoCfdwQAvD_BwE

It is a SPST switch with 3 terminals. I have determined the two closest together is the switch and will power on the amp, however no light comes on. I tried the other two connection possibilies, and the light comes on, but not the amp. I am surprised to not be able to find a wiring diagram anywhere on the spec sheet.

    What gives?

edit: Nevermind, I found it. The 3rd terminal goes to neutral, and with trial and error I figured out which terminal the hot input goes to and which terminal the load goes to. When they are reversed, the neon is on all the time. Strange that there is no diagram from the factory.

It's weird, because it WAS working fine.....

Any chance it is molded into the plastic on the bottom or side?
Education is what you're left with after you have forgotten what you have learned.
