I didn't have to pull the board to do the recent work, but why would the bridge rectifier effect a squeal from touching the speaker? FWIW, I am going to replace the remaining filter caps when they arrive.

The BR has nothing to do with the squeal. It's simply a must-check item on those amps.

When you touch the speaker jack or frame where are you standing? Are you holding a guitar that is plugged into the amp?

Your body can act as a high frequency capacitor, that will couple the input and output of the amp causing a feedback loop.
