need Sampson SS schem.

I have a Sampson C700 power amp that someone already tried "fixing".
They cut the leads to all the shorted output devices.

Anyone have or know where to get a schematic for one of these before I see if it's worth fixing?

C700? I don't know that one, and it is not in my files.

Did you contact Samson and ask for the drawings?

I am sure the phone number is on their web site. Try them first. I have the S700, but I'd have to do a clumsy multiscan.

by-the-by I had one of these in a few weeks ago. They have cut things maybe a bit fine on the filter caps to get them close to the board and keep the amp thin; one of these had shorted and fuses were blowing. I forget the voltage ratings but there was not much margin and they were 85-degree caps also in what is a potentially hot situation I guess. If you get it wired up again you might check the caps - with the fuse blowing it might have looked to someone like a power device failure I guess.
