    I'd pop it open and see what the revision number on the ribbons is.

      After total disassembly and a thorough cleaning , reassembled and ran it for hours in every configuration I could , no drop outs . I did contact Mackie(LOUD) ,and the ribbon cables are no longer available , I cleaned all the cable contacts, re seated them all, didn't go as far as clipping them (yet). Agreeing with nevetslab on not doing a total wash out on pots ,I used a syringe to deliver less than a drop on pots needing it. I delivered it back to the customer today with a can of deoxit(and a warning on the over spray) , they are going to clean all cable ends and adapters. Then they can give it a go and see how it does for them.
