  • Fender Sidekick Keyboard 60 chassis removal?

    This is a weird one.
Solid state, maybe late 70's early 80's.

    Anyone remember working on one?

Removed top 4 screws, handle screws and 3 screws that hold rear panel to some wood supports.

Removed front grill, no screws in front.

Almost seems like chassis is in 2 parts.

Has to go out the back, but it don't want to.

Okay, two flanges in front about 2" long, so speaker cover has to be removed to get to the screws.

Looks like reverb is down with the speakers, so 12" has to come out to remove reverb cables.

    This is a dumbass design.

And the 12" has a Wizzer Cone!

That and 4" tweeter are crispy.

      A couple pictures would help.

If 2nd post wasn't clear, when you remove grill there are two screws that attach to front panel I missed at first.

        Chassis then comes out.
I'll post some pix for future use when I get a chance.

        Thanks
