I did it once. And not in the same cabinet. A customer with one of my amps that's pretty much supposed to be cranked wanted to add reverb. So I built a matching cabinet and built a "reverb combo" amp designed so that it can be used with any amp from 5W to 100W. This was as simple as making the input from the host amp variable and adding a meter that lets the user know they've adjusted it for the right amount of drive to the tank. This was an all tube thing with a tank for the aesthetic. I play through the same amp he owns, but I don't have a reverb amp yet. The one I build for myself will probably use a digital module and silicooties. I just don't see the need for tanks and tubes here. Maybe if I were in a Dick Dale cover band
