Hey everyone, I'm new here so be gentle. I purchased a Marshall AVT100 Valvestate 2000 1x12 combo amp off of a coworker of mine because he gave me a good deal due to the fact the effects didn't work. I figured it would be a loose ribbon cable or wire or some other easy fix but I haven't seen anything. Google has also been nearly useless in my efforts. My question is if anyone here has had experience with this problem or a similar one. I'm going to go specific into the details now so you all know what i mean by "they don't work".
1. Yes I have the effects turned on, on the amp and using the footswitch.
2. It's only the DFX that don't work. The effects loop works fine.
3. I believe the DFX card is getting power. When I turn the DFX mix knob all the way up, it putters quietly and you can hear it switching when turning the effect selection knob, but no effects play at all.
Even if the effects are crappy quality, I still want the amp to be fully functional. Any and all help would be appreciated so if you know anything, I'm all ears. Thanks for the help all!
