Peavey Bass Amp Max115

Hi all

I just purchase a used Peavey Bass Amp Max115. and the speaker is good, but I am not getting and sound to the speaker. if I turn the volume up all the way and the gain up I get some sound. So I checked the speaker, works fine.
any help will be great.

Did you ever hear this amp working before you bought it? How do you know the speaker is good?

And did you try a different instrument and cable?

Did you test the amp by inserting a signal at the Aux input?

What about Tune/Mute button, is that engaged?

I checked the speaker by unplugging from the amp and plug it in a smaller amp that I have and speaker worked fine. Mute button off after tuning guitar. cable was tested on small amp. I did not test amp at the AUX. Also I just left the amp run for about 8 min. and now there is no sound at all.

Also I had the earbuds to test amp, sounds where great going to earbuds. after 8 mins. no sound at all. no where.

It sounds like a similar problem. Maybe the solution is there too.
