It took almost two years for them to sellout of NOS17482 the 100w "marahall" OT . they had 116 or so. I got about 12 thankfully. I wish I would have gotten more. I just shot out that transformer vs Hammond 1650TA ($160 120w OT) yesterday and the magnetic components sounded better. I would tend to think it's cuz mag components is 1.7k primary. And Hammond is 1.9k, not cuz one brand is better than the other. Hammond sounded smoother. Eh, not what I wanted in a rock amp. NOS17482 was $65 each.
Wish I could have got some of those 100w "marshall" PTs but I didnt have cash to blow. saw them listed a week or two ago and I checked back two
days later and they were sold out. They either didn't have many or someone bought them all. I guess the word is getting around about this easily overlooked section of their site.
Both these transformers were about $65 each from magneticcomponents for the NOS price. No worries, they are still available , on eBay and reverb now for around double

Reason: More info
Well, just guessing but I think to get that transformer at that price you would have to open an account with them and do a minimum order of 24 pieces (or was it 18?)
It is the same OT as this but since it is a retail piece it comes with "classic tone" stamped on it rather than blank, and you have to buy 12 or more to get a similar price as the NOS over stock price which was just same price no matter how many you get --
Thanks! But beware the fine print: "We will require that the customer be an established business with a reseller 's business license."
If you really want any don't let the fine print deter you from asking. I think that is just said as a necessity since they are technically not supposed to sell to the public at prices that beat their distributors. But those factory over runs can't just sit in the shelf forever collecting dust !
