While on Mouser's website ordering supplies, I went to see what I could find in Nichicon TVX series Axial Electrolytic caps. gbono had made the announcement of Nichicon's TVX series became EOL earlier this month. Virtually nothing left but 4 or 5 values in very low voltage at Mouser. Ouch! I looked to see what was available in CDE, now seeing Illinois/CDE have joined....not happy about that. Vishay didn't have much. Didn't find anything in United Chemicon.
I went to Digi-Key to see what I could find in 100V ratings in that series, did find some 22uF/100V left, which have good linearity. 100uF/100V, nothing but high qty's available. I only found 22uf, 4.7uF, 2.2uF in 100V, and 47uF in 63V. All else hi qty, hi $$ or non-existent.
Began searching under Axial Lead Electrolyic Capacitors, found this website https://www.justradios.com/axialelectrolytics.html, which is up in Canada, carrying a brand Miec, which I have no experience with. Selecting a value in the list at that site took me to their order site https://www.justradios.com/cart.html which does seem to have a wide selection of parts we typically use on tube amps.
What are you all able to buy these days, now that the bean counters at the capacitor mfgr's are busy with slash and burn of 'obsolete' axial-leaded electrolytic caps?
