So I wanted to get another Peavey Triple X off Craigslist to replace the (very cheap) dead one I got years ago in Portland OR and sold before moving.
Guy agreed to meet me in Whole Foods parking lot near Mill Valley SF ($$$!)
He drove up in a 2020 Cadillac Escalade, had a perfect ponytail and was wearing hand stitched Italian loafers...
He swore head worked great and it was very clean, no foot switch which he said cost $25 (BS), but I paid him $350 anyway

bad SGRs burned tubes in PA and preamp, at least no cratered boards but what a douche bag.
Got to get some more WW 1k Ohm / 5W resistors from Mouser,
at least Peavey used 700 Ohms on JSX... why oh why did they stick with 100 ohm SGRs for so many years??
