No surpises here, but out of interest and a warning to those who might be tempted.
I buy lots of LM3886TF's, from trusted sources. However I did get curious and got a couple of cheapies off cr&pBay just to see. The most obvious difference, without even putting a signal through, was that the idle current was half that of the real part. At a supply of +/-28V into 4 ohms I could only get 40W out rather that 68W so I suspect the die is actually a TDA2050. On the other hand a TDA2050's absolute max supply is +/-25V so it may be something else or maybe I just got away with it.
