Hitting an amp is far from guaranteed to fix anything. If you have a loose wire/connection how do you know that it won't decide to connect itself to something more important and destroy a valuable component?

Pull out the 12AT7 (V6) that sits next to the 6L6s, do you still get the noise at turn on? If so, suspect the 6L6s. If pulling the 12AT7 cures the noise, then you could have a noisy preamp valve, substituting each valve in turn with a known good valve will help you find the culprit.

If after changing all the valves (and rebiasing the 6L6s) you still have the noise, report back.

How old is your Super Reverb?

Use some contact cleaner on the tube pins and sockets. If you have a soldering iron pull out the chassis and reheat any cracked solder connections. Make sure the chassis has been unplugged for a while before you work on it. When your done reinstall the chassis and turn the amp on. Tap the tubes one at a time to see if you still have any noise.

Super Reverbs (those made by Fender, rather than clones) have the main filters wired in series with smoothing resistors. Unplug the amp from the wall and throw the standby into play mode will drain your caps by the time you get the chassis out.
