Hi,
I just bought a Merell MA-12 amp. It uses two small tubes 12ax7 and 12at7.
Does the 12ax7 go in the socket nearest the corner? The amp also has a weak rectifer tube. It tests bad (at 40%). 65% is good. Would this cause the amp to have weak bass response? Otherwise it works good. Could there be any other cause of weak bass response or is the amp just designed that way?
