Does the 80/100k pot work? 80k is within 20% of 100k, pretty normal for a pot.
It is just a voltage divider, like a volume control. The point of it is to allow some level to be established at the wiper. The actual value is not all that critical. If you found a 500k volume control measured 478k instead, would you worry?
I would only concern myself if I found the wiper had to be set way over to one end or could not be set far enough over to work right. If that were the case, likely more was wrong than the pot.
