  • Peavey PV2600 Power Amp

I have a Peavey PV2600 power amp that has taken a dive. When power is turned on it lights and self tests. Then gives that small pop to the speakers but has 0 output to either channel. Where do I start troubleshooting with this thing?

If by dive you mean the amp fell and hit the floor it's possible you cracked the level controls on front. They may turn but still be broken at the PC board. The fact that you hear the usual thump when it finishes powering up means your output section is ok.

Check the input circuits and the low voltage power supplies thereto.

Do you have the schematics? PV will send them to you, contact their parts department.

No I did not drop it. I will request a print from Peavey. I am wondering if one of the protect devices is the problem.
