Do you have the Cal Blonde or the Cal BLonde 2?

In either case, coincidently it is 100 ohms. But if that burnt, then it is a real good bet some semiconductors connected to it are shorted.

Look in my collection on www.ampix.org and see if that is what you need.

      cal blonde 1.

thats looks like the scem--thanks !

looks like r16 is tied to 2 transistors--one is one of the big output transistors Q7.

I just had one of those a few weeks ago. The output transistor had a broken lead inside the case. When I removed it from the board, the leg fell out.

I've seen a lot of those leads break from vibration in the Blondes and the Workingman amps. So check both output transistors for broken leads at the pc board and at the transistor case.

you were right Bill--i had a few legs broken. soldered those , and replaced the R16. Amp seems to run fine now . EXCEPT , the reverb doesnt work.......i pulled the tank out and it looks good inside..

Looks good? Unplug it and measure the transducers. Can't tell from looking.

the one on the In side measures 25 ohms , and the out measures 200 ohms . should there be measurable continuity thru the tank ? Im not getting any reading from the in to the out.
The cables test good , as does the pot .

On mine, the tank was DOA.

Which side is the problem, drive or return? Shake the tank, do you hear the springs rattle? If so, check the driver IC U14. If not check the TL072 return IC U13.

i checked all that and pulled that tlo72 out and stuck another one in---the reverb worked, so i pulled it and put the original chip in.....reverb still works.

                    Maybe that tlo72 just needed re-seated ??

Could be a dirty socket, could have been a bad connection that got fixed when you moved something else. Sometimes ya just gotta scratch your head.
