"Dual Professional" Fender 2 Button LED Footswitch - Why not?

Hey,

Maybe I am nuts, but I can not find a 2 button replacement footswitch for a Fender Dual Professional with LED's built in. The main point here is that I would like indicator LED's in the footswitch. I tried plugging in a marshall style footwitch, but that did not work. Any suggestions? Can I rewire the Marshall style footswitch which has the LED's to work for the fender? If I can, it seems like a good Sunday afternoon project.

As you will appreciate, the amp was designed well before LEDs were commercially available. LEDs require a power source to light them up, such a power source is not availble on the fender footswitch socket outlets. But you could series wire a couple of AA or AAA batteries, whatever will fit into the footswitch case. Use that, via 100 ohm resistors, to power the LEDs. Hope that helps - Peter
