  • ChassisBolt holes on a Princeton reverb

I have an old Princeton chassis that I reworked, and ordered a replacement cabinet from Mojo.

it looks great, BUT, no holes were drilled in the cabinet for the chassis-bolts; apparently that's their standard.

Sure, I know the measurements for the chassis holes, but how does that relate to where to drill the cabinet..how far from the front/rear edges, etc?

I'd like to do it right the first time rather than make swiss-cheese out of the top....

    Thanks in advance!

Those nickel and dime sucking dogs... I have to pay them an extra fee to drill the two chassis mounting holes in my tweed cabinets! ha ha...
The BF and SF chassis sit about <3/16" back from the from the front reveal of the carcass and the bottom of the chassis is almost flush with the top of the grille cloth'ed baffle board.
The holes punched in the actual chassis and the 5/32" dia size of the holes in the cabinet will allow you to wiggle and slide the chassis back and forth to get a good looking fit.

Be carefull! I got a head cab for my princeton reverb and the chassis opening was too wide. I used the measurements from the stock fender cab and they did not line up after I drilled them!
