  • Buzzing Blues Junior

Just bought a Fender Blues Junior and 3 days into owning it it is now has a sustained "buzzing" when I hit a single note even when dialed into a clean sound. I just bought it. What could be wrong?

In this thread there was a remark about buzzing EL-84s. Worth a peek as it seems a simple and relatively safe test.

What's your confidence level with getting into the guts safely.

      Guts

Yeah, I have already cracked it open a few times to only pull out the tubes and switch positions of the tubes. Not sure about confidence further than that.

Did you buy it new or used? If new, it has a warranty, take advantage of it.

I had the same problem with mine but only had it with single notes when the reverb is on. I turned the reverb down and it went away. Would kind of like the reverb back if anyone has a fix.

Sounds like a tank issue - does it go away if you move the tank out of the cab? (leaving it hooked up)
