  • Orange Rockerverb Noise Problem

I'm getting the Ocean noise sound when I switch my Rockerverb 50 from standby to ON. I've changed out my powertubes and preamp tubes so I know that isn't the issue.
So far it doesn't seem to be effecting the amp once the noise tames down . The amp sounds normal and has plenty of volume and balls.

    Anyone know whats going on?

    Thanks in advance........

BTW: I haven't hooked it up wrong....but I can't be sure cuz I have a teenage son who is always into my shit

You might be able to determine if it's in the pre amp or power amp. Try switching the amp on from standby with all the controls at zero. If you don't hear the noise then there is something wrong in the pre amp section. If you still hear the noise with the controls all down then it's in the power amp section. I would suspect a plate resistor might be making the noise. It could be also be a cold solder joint. Does it only do it when the tubes are cold?
