    My classic 30 would not turn on at last night's gig. After double checking the plug I hit the top, out of frustration, and like magic it came on Does this sound like a simple problem to repair?

    Sounds like a loose connection somewhere. Look for loose mains wiring, or even possible bad power switch.
    Education is what you're left with after you have forgotten what you have learned.
