  • output transformer wiring

Other than the center tap on the primary, does it matter what legs go to which plates on the power tubes? And does it matter with the primary to the speaker jack?

IF there's no feedback loop then generally. no. If there is a feedback loop, only one way will work. The FB loop sends signal back to the PI or further up in the front end if its global FB and its supposed to be out pf phase with the signal at the injection point. If it is in phase, you'll get uncontrollable oscillation.....your amp becomes an air raid siren. So in the event you replace/ reconnect and output transformer and you get a horrible howl, reverse the primary leads. That brings the feedback back to degenerative and stops the oscillation. You can also reverse the secondary leads as long as the FB wire stays in the same place as it was (reverse the sec leads but leave the FB wire where it was, if applicable, doesn't apply to pcb amps).
