  • Jumpy master volume

    Despite that its an Audio pot, my master volume covers a lot of ground between levels 1-3. The circuit is similar to a traditional fender circuit. The only difference is that I added an extra gain stage at the input, coupling cap and gain control following, and then straight into the next stage. Am I unaware of a different type of audio pot? I wouldnt figure the extra stage would throw it off

    I think you have way to high signal level. Try putting a resistor before the pot to lower the signal. Maybe a lower resistance of the pot at the same time.
    If you turn your volume to the max what happens? Square clipping of the output stage i would imagine?

      Yea I just lowered the value to 500k, seemed to do the trick. Thanks a lot!
