Ibanez Starfield VT-100

Hello !
This is my first writing in this forum.

I wonder if there would be someone who knows about this amp.

It is beautifull, heavy and it has sounded great. And now it is broken.
It growls.

If I take away the cable which is coming from preamp section this growling stops. So perhaps there is a problem in this preamp.

Does anyone know about schematics for this amplifier ???

Or if Starfield is a "copy" from another known amplifier ??

Starfield was a line from Ibenhad that was supposed to be upmarket to the regular line. Not much info on those amps out there. They say made in UK but by looking at it it sure looks Japanese to me.....Both construction techniques and type of components used.

Sounds like you may have an issue with grounding between the front end and the supply/output section. An amp tech should be able to sort it out for you easily.
