Hi,
I am having trouble with my Westfield MVA 500 amp. random cheap make I know, but its got a great 60s - esque sound.
I don't think there is any info regarding this amp on the internet. It is a solid-state, twin speaker tweed style amp.
The problem is when playing for periods over 20-30 mins, or with the amp on high volume. The power remains on, but the volume cuts out. If the amp is turned off for a little and then switched back on, the volume can return again. (amp has been checked with different leads, plug fuses etc).
Is this simple overheating?
I am not sure whether the problem lies within the amp or pre-amp yet. I have opened the box up to check for any melted or damaged parts etc., and everything on the circuit boards looks to be in good condition.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
