  • Maestro Phase shifter - Splat sounds

I've got a Maestro Phase Shifter PS-1A that makes splatty sounds when you hit the strings hard in Bypass mode only. Does anyone have a schematic for this model? The PS-1 schematic that is all over the web has a very different implementation of the bypass switching function than the PS-1A.

You might just convert it to true bypass. Its as easy as using a DPDT stomp switch and use the existing wiring scheme, but wire the switch so that the input to the effect circuitry is disconnected (grounding the input is not a bad idea) when bypassed. Its prolly the switch contacts that have oxidised and gone higher than normal resistance.
