  • Pilot light bulb equivalents?

It's always the details that get you.

I went ahead an installed the pilot light ass'y in my new amp build without thinking to order a bulb when I ordered the fixture. Is there a suitable replacement for a #47 bulb? I can't find one readily around here, been to several hardware and auto stores.

    Thanks!

It is just a 6v miniature bayonette base lamp. Radio Shack certainly should have them. Possibly a hobby store. Automotive wont because all their stuff is 12v.

Ah! Radio Shack, I never thought of them. I was just there yesterday, too.

      Thanks, Enzo!

The base is BA9s...if you want them to last nearly forever and can stand them to be less bright and in your face, use a 12v one.... like an 1819 or something like that. They are very easy to find.

I think I use either #46 or #47's from Mouser and they work nice. You are right on Bruce as I uses a # 1820 and it was very low and just enough to give a subtle dim glow. Kinda laid back tstl.

Cool, I kind of like the idea of a dim glow in the pilot light. I'm sure I saw something like that today. Thanks guys!

Believe it or don't both Lowes and Home Despot stock these also.
