  • Carvin bridge rectifier

i have a Carvin R1000 amp here that looks like it has a shorted bridge rectifier. Its the big square one on the small power pcb. How do these come off the board? It looks almost like it has a large rivet thru the center ? Anyone know what im talikin about ?

Don't know offhand what you have, but you remove parts by desoldering them. If it is held on mechanically by a rivet, then drill out the rivet center.

thats the question--is it a rivet? i guess i will drill it. I just didnt want to pry on anything. There is no solder--i removed it.

You know, you could also call Carvin and ask, their tech people are usually helpful when asked.
