Hi people, new to this.
A friend has asked me to have a go at repairing his vc30 amp, it makes a sort of wooshing noise, not a hum. Has anyone had this problem before. It looks like the amp is a hybrid tube and solid state. From what I can see the solid state part is some sort of preamp for the reverb. I have heard other audio amps make this sort of sound but not a guitar amp. Im guessing the op amps in the reverb circuit may be at fault too much gain?.
Any help would be appreciated, and if anyone can point me in the direction of a schematic that would be great.
