Anyone had a noise problem with these amps?
The complaint was it had got hissier over time since bought new a few months ago. Well it is hissy, even with all the volumes down. Pull out the PI and it goes away.
There are some small round-metal-cased transistors - FETs I think - on the board, raised up a little as if designed to run hot. They have a Rivera number on them. One of them picks up a lot of interference from a finger nearby. Maybe that's it, who knows.
Emailed Rivera, no response. I note there's a thread about a similar problem on their board without a reply I can find, locked by moderator.
