  • Peavey Valveking switching help!

    http://www.schematicheaven.com/newam...ng_100_212.pdf

Hello, I have problem with friend?s Peavey Valveking 100w head.
It works, but only clean channel.
    Switching don?t work.
When I switch manually to Overdrive channel, a hear VERY LOUD POP but then silence.. No overdrive channel.
I measured relays inside an amp and I found that relays SK101 and SK102 are still in one position...
And leds on the footswitch didn?t light.
I measured the voltage on relays, and its around 28V.
(the schematic shows 14V), but on the relays is printed 2A 28VDC?

I think that part of relays works, because while I switch, i Hear clicking of them
    Where can be problem?
    Please help....

Is this the original footswitch? I would check the continuity of the foot switch cable and switches first. When you unplug the footswitch do the panel switches work properly? The relays will show a higher voltage when they are off. When turned on, the coils in the relays are in series with a 170 ohm resistor to ground. This creates a voltage divider so the coils only see their rated voltage (12 volts DC ). As for the 28 volt rated relays this may be the wrong schematic. Also, is this one of those amps that have to have the panel switches in a particular position for the footswitch to work?
