I am working on a Peavey Valveking II 20W combo that came in with the complaint that the gain switch isn't functioning. During initial troubleshooting, I confirmed that the amp will switch from clean to lead, and the boost pushbutton works. With the channel and volume buttons pressed in and then using the footswitch, the channels and boost toggle correctly as well. But, I'm not able to get any noticeable change when using the gain pushbutton in any configuration.
I've confirmed the contacts of S2 for boost and gain both switch correctly. S13, the boost relay, contacts switch correctly. From the schematic, it appears the one set of contacts on the gain switch removes the short across D28/D29/R104 when in boost mode. That's working correctly. That leaves the other set of gain contacts that control Q8, Q22, Q4. I've checked D2, D11, D10 with my meter and they are reading reasonable diode values. Same thing with Q4, Q8 and Q22. When trying the gain on and off with boost mode on the lead channel, I get the following voltages:

D -0.127 / 0.174
G -0.151 / 0.144
S -0.132 / 0.120
Q22
S -0.125 / 0.123
G -0.149 / 0.141
D 0 / 0
I'm stumped as to what I'm overlooking here. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
