  • Blackstar HT60 Soloist rear board

    Hi Folks

As the nights are drawing in, I have finally gotten round to building a Blackstar Soloist head from the pcb I have. I picked up the OT and PT new old stock from Blackstar.

On the basis that this will be for my personal use, I am cutting back on some of the functionality. My question relates to the rear board.

i don’t need an effects loop, nor the emulator. Neither do I need three speaker options. I plan to go 8 ohm for the speaker.

so I am thinking about simply having no emulator circuit and no fx loop. I will probably add all three speaker sockets as that is no big deal.

can there be any technical/function related downside in skipping the emulator and fx?

I have the schematics which are attached.

    all thoughts welcome.

    Cheers

You do have to terminate the FX circuit before it goes off board.

In which case I might as well build the fx loop as well - not a great deal to it.

Jazz P Bass just checking what you mean. Do you mean close the circuit by connecting Fx send and return?
            cheers
