My AVT50 head has a very loud hum on clean and hiss on dirty channel, and this happens when I plug my guitar in the input. Funny I can kmake it less by placing my hand on the metal portion of the guitar cord then touching the chassis of the amp. The other issue is I can just get a small amount of volume from the amp to the speaker at any time. I can plug my guitar into the cd input and i get clear sound but no volume of course. It feels like a ground issue but I don't know where to start. I do have a schematic, but my electronics ability is limited. Any help would be appreciated.
