    Could even just be a broken connection between the winding wire and the insulated wire that goes outside.
    Education is what you're left with after you have forgotten what you have learned.

      I've had that a few times, once with a large toroidal PT where one of the leads had been twisted together and never soldered from the factory.

        The Classic 20 gets extremely hot. I install a fan in the lower part, directing the air flow upwards.
