    Have continuity checked the cables all OK , also made sure RCA connectors are tight fitting

      You're right, of course.

      I had noticed that the rev input transducer is in the NFB path (load current feedback for constant current drive), so gain will shoot up with load disconnected.
      Then I saw the note, misread and didn't check back, as the number seemed to be in the ballpark.

      My point is that schematic signal levels require the load to be connected.

      BTW, with this reverb drive wiring, the input transducer must not be grounded.
