Fender Prosonic Arcing/Buzz Problem

    I was finally able to resolve this problem. This amp has the filter/reservoir caps on a double-sided circuit board under a cover similar to the 60's Fender amps. The circuit board has plate thru holes connecting traces on both sides. Ground wires and node wires were only soldered on the bottom of the board and not on the top. Once I soldered them on the top all was well. Also, if anyone needs a rectifier switch (no longer available from Fender) it is a Lorlin CK1052 and Newark has them. Thanks to all for the responses here.

      Odd that no amount of chopsticking produced the problem.
      It's weird, because it WAS working fine.....

        It is odd. I chopsticked that area in the beginning with no reaction. Another lesson learned.
