  • Bogner 54 phi schematic ?

Hi everyone - just trying to chase down a schematic for the Bogner 54 phi.

Looking to do a re-wire from USA Voltage to 240V (AUS Power).

I've tried emailing Bogner direct but nil reply.

    Appreciate your help.

Does the existing transformer have dual primaries?

Basically need to know the PT45A Primary Wiring color codes. (has a total of 6 wires on the primary).

OK, of the six wires, how many are soldered together? In other words if one primary is black and blue wires and the other primary is orange and yellow, then for 120v use, we expect to find the mains connected to a black and an orange soldered together, and the other mains wired to blue and yellow paired up. I made up the colors for th example. But you should be able to determine the 120v primary wires. Then for 240v, we unsolder the pairs and rewire them in series for 240v. Note the mains fuse now needs to be only 1/2 what the 120v fuse uses.

That '6 wires on the primary' is giving me a headache!

In my mind I see two three wire primaries, each with common, 100v and 120v taps. Thus two 120v widings in parallel for 120v operation, or two 120v in series for 240v and two 110v in series for 220.

Of course it could be something totally different.

Thanks heaps for your help Enzo. great. Yeah no help from Bogner and may have to do a little more research. - that transformer PT45A Primary Wiring color codes is tricky.
